They grow pea shoots, rocket, red mustard, chives, fennel, coriander and lots of other herbs, and their unrivalled central location means they can have the greens on your plate within four hours of picking and packing.
And it’s not just a novelty product – Growing Underground leaves and salads stock the shelves of Waitrose, Whole Foods Market and M&S, and are available to order on Ocado.
You can taste an Asian salad with sweet pea shoots, spicy purple radish and fragrant coriander, or try the peppery salad rocket and spicy garlic chives in the Italian salad mix.
If you don’t believe us you can visit the farm for yourself, since they announced that for the first time and for a limited period they will be opening the farm for tours.
You’ll be shown round by the founders, hear about the history and the running of the farm, and take home your very own freshly picked salad.
There are various dates on sale up until March 18, and tickets are around £40-£45.
